Aqua Detox
Every organ in our body has a specific health frequency and every disease has
its own frequency. Where there is a disease there is an organ dysfunction which
can be made worse by the build up of toxins and other waste materials. Certain
frequencies can therefore help return the organ to its optimum frequency so that
the body can be in the best position to help itself.
Aqua Detox is a foot spa with a difference. During an Aqua Detox treatment the
feet are immersed in a foot spa which contains a special electrode. When the
apparatus is switched on, the electrode creates a flow of electrons which pass
through the water and cause the body to resonate at its correct level.
Aqua Detox is NOT recommended for people
who have a pacemaker, people with implanted organs, epilepsy sufferers or
pregnant women.
Aqua Detox followed by a leg massage lasts
approximately 1 hour.

Aromatherapy
Aromatherapy means "treatment using scents". It is a holistic treatment of
caring for the body with pleasant smelling botanical oils such as rose, lemon,
lavender and peppermint. The essential oils are added to the bath or massaged
into the skin, inhaled directly or diffused to scent an entire room.
Aromatherapy is used for the relief of pain, care for the skin, to alleviate
tension and fatigue and invigorate the entire body. Essential oils can affect
the mood, alleviate fatigue, reduce anxiety and promote relaxation. When
inhaled, they work on the brain and nervous system through stimulation of the
olfactory nerves.
Aromatherapy is one of the fastest growing fields in alternative medicine. It is
widely used at home, clinics and hospitals for a variety of applications such as
pain relief for women in labour, relieving pain caused by the side effects of
the chemotherapy undergone by cancer patients, and rehabilitation of cardiac
patients.
An Aromatherapy session lasts approximately 1
hour.

Homeopathy
Homeopathy is an effective and scientific system of
healing which assists the natural tendency of the body to heal itself. It
recognises that all symptoms of ill health are expressions of disharmony within
the whole person and that it is the patient that needs treatment not the
disease. As a new patient these ideas may seem new to you but homeopathy has
been established for about 200 years.
Homeopathy cures from the inside and often outer symptoms,
such as a skin complaint are the last to clear.
Following a detailed case history the homeopath will prescribe
and give you a remedy or remedies they feel are appropriate. Remedies are minute
concentrations of natural substances often taken from many sources including
plants, minerals, and animals
Sessions take approximately 30 minutes to 1 hour.

Hopi Ear Candles
Hopi Ear Candles are used in the treatment of Glue Ear, Tinnitus (noise in the
ears) and deafness due to impacted ear wax. Ear Candles are made from linen and
beeswax, and not, as many believe, from wax.
The recipient lies on a therapy couch where a candle is placed in the ear. A
pleasant hissing may be heard. A mild suction process occurs as the flame burns
and warms the air inside the candle producing a chimney effect which eases the
pressure in the ear and sinuses, thus relieving congestion in these areas.
The vapour produced by the candle helps to remove
the impurities and deposits within the ear and the results can be seen in the
form of condensed ear wax and other debris left in the base of the candle.
It is recommended that both ears are treated
during the same session. A session lasts approximately 45 minutes to 1
hour.

Hypnotherapy
Clinical Hypnotherapy is not the same as stage hypnosis. During your
treatment you are aware of everything that is happening all the time and you can
be in full waking consciousness any time you choose. You may remember all
or parts of the session afterwards but, you will hear everything that is said.
We are all different. Some people go into a very
deep trance and remember nothing afterwards, others remain in a light trance
which can work equally as a well as a deep trance. More often than not, people
drift into different levels of relaxation.
During your session, your therapist will guide
you into a state of relaxation whereby the subconscious mind is more open to
positive suggestion. Suggestions will then be made which have been specifically
designed for you and the problem you wish to work on. The subconscious
mind will not accept negative suggestion or any suggestion which it finds
unacceptable to your own well being.
A Hypnotherapy session lasts approximately 1
hour. (Smoking Cessation requires a 2 hour double appointment).

Indian Head
Massage
Indian Head Massage is a variation on the traditional
Swedish Body Massage. The massage is done with the client fully clothed and no
oil or cream is used, which makes it an ideal therapy to be done in the
workplace.
As the name suggests, the massage techniques are used on the
head and face - additional techniques are also used on the back, neck, shoulders
and arms. Indian Head Massage can be useful in the treatment of headaches,
stress, migraine, sinusitis and stiffness of the arms, neck and shoulders.
An Indian Head Massage takes approximately 1 hour.

Massage
Therapeutic massage is defined by the American Massage Therapy Association as a
"manual soft tissue manipulation that includes holding, causing movement and/or
applying pressure to the body". Massage has its roots deep in history, with
evidence of its use in the ancient cultures of China, Greece and Egypt.
The benefits of massage were recognised by the father of medicine himself,
Hippocrates, who wrote that "rubbing can bind a joint that is too loose and
loosen a joint that is too rigid".
Massage benefits the body by speeding up the
delivery of fresh, nutritional blood to the body tissues and the removal of
waste products from the body tissues. Massage quickens the removal of
lactic acid from the muscles and breaks down scar tissue, both of which prevent
the muscles from working properly. Psychologically, massage can loosen
sore, tight muscles caused by stress and tension and aid relaxation.
A full body massage lasts approximately 45
minutes to 1 hour.

Nutritional
Therapy
Many people suspect their symptoms are linked
to what they eat but struggle to know what to avoid or how to avoid it.
Nutritional Therapy is a method of exploring whether changing your diet could
improve your symptoms. It is rooted in science and biochemistry but blends these
with naturopathic and holistic principles. It is, therefore a form of
complementary medicine. However, unlike other forms of complementary
medicine, it is not a passive activity for the client - you must be willing to
take action and make changes to your diet.
Therapy starts with a symptom and diet questionnaire completed at home, followed
by a detailed consultation. Your information is then interpreted to devise a
trial diet and assess whether supplements (e.g. vitamins and minerals) would
help. Depending on how your symptoms respond, subsequent consultations refine
the diet. The goal of therapy is a diet that maintains any improvement but
is not too difficult to live with.
A consultation takes approximately 1 hour.

Reflexology
During a Reflexology session, specific areas on the feet,
hands and ears are stimulated. These reflex points are directly connected to the
various organs, glands and skeletal structures of the body via the nervous
system. By manipulating these points, the corresponding areas of the body can be
influenced.
Reflexology is useful for achieving and maintaining health,
enhancing well-being, relieving symptoms, aiding relaxation and activating the
body's innate self healing mechanism.
Reflexology sessions can last between 1 and 1 and a half
hours.

Reiki
Reiki (pronounced Ray-key) is a system of natural hands-on healing originating
in Japan. Reiki means "universal life energy", the vital energy around and
within all living things. Reiki is the name given to a system of natural
healing. There is no belief system attached to Reiki so anyone can receive
or learn to give Reiki treatment, the only prerequisite is the desire to be
healed.
Receiving a Reiki treatment from a
practitioner is very simple. The recipient lies on a couch and relaxes. If they
are unable to lie down the treatment can be given in a sitting position.
The main thing is for the recipient to be as comfortable as possible.
There is no need to remove any
clothing as Reiki will pass through anything, even plaster casts. The
practitioner gently places their hands non-intrusively in a sequence of
positions which cover the whole body. The whole person is treated rather than
specific symptoms.
A full Reiki session usually takes
between 1 and 1 and a half hours.
